Thinking about employers in New Hampshire, I came across this linen postcard image of what was most commonly known as New Hampshire Insurance. Back in the mid 1970's, I worked as a recruiter/employment specialist. New Hampshire Insurance at that time would hire dozens and dozens of newly graduated high school girls every year. People would go to work there and stay for years and years. It didn't pay well, but it was a clean place to work (as opposed to the mills) and on the bus route, which made it ideal.
